Xylophone

Ben received a new Xylophone for Christmas.  An hour after he went to his room for an afternoon nap we could still hear him banging out new tunes, or perhaps they were classics.  Here is a sample of his work.

Lauren's Zebra

Lauren really likes her new Zebra - almost as much as Ben does.  She thinks it goes faster when she gives it a good kick in the ribs.

Ben is sorry. Really.

Benjamin is learning how to share with his sister.  He thinks she is trying to take his toys away from him, when in fact she is usually only trying to play with him.  This was Christmas morning for Ben before he learned to share.  I believe he was truly sorry the last time on the chair because he came back upstairs a different boy.

Eating is a Race

Sometimes when Lauren is really hungry, eating is like a race.  She cannot get the chicken and cheese down fast enough, and there is definitely no time to stop for apple sauce.

Ib's Preschool Christmas Program

This is Ib's first preschool performance at the age of 3 and a half. He is standing next to his best friend Nathan. Ib loves school. We both wish his class were longer.

Benjamin's Christmas Shuffle

Ben's new fascination is the tap dancing Christmas characters sent to us by Grandma Boots.  He's still a little camera shy ("No... No pictures..."), but he could not help performing a little for this video.

Lauren is just gaining confidence in her ability to walk.  She is at her best when her relatively short fall is cushioned by our bed.  We have to watch her carefully when she practices because she has yet to learn that going beyond the confines of the bed would result in a long, hard fall to the wood floor. Ben learned that one more than once.
